MILAN DESIGN WEEK 2023 – DEZEEN X BENTLEY LIGHTHOUSE TALK: RETHINKING LUXURY MATERIALS
On 21st of April at 11AM we are proud to announce that our Chief Mycelium Officer and co-founder Maurizio Montalti will take part to the first in a series of the Deezen x Bentley Lighthouse Talks: Rethinking Luxury Materials.
For decades, the world of luxury has remained unchanged, of noble materials such as rare woods, precious metals, sumptuous leathers and fine silks. With the growing concern for the environmental impact of our lifestyle luxury brands are looking for more and more innovative ways to align the use of materials with customer values.
Deezen’s editorial director Max Fraser will investigate, together with Maurizio Montalti, co founder of SQIM, Ilse Crawford, founder of design studio Studioilse, Monique Zappalà, art creative director at Bentley Home, and Chris Cooke, head of Bentley design collaborations, if the traditional perspective around luxury is about to radically change and if a whole new generation of bio fabricated material will emerge in the near future.
This is an invite-only event and places are extremely limited. If you would like to attend, please email bentley@dezeen.com to express your interest.
The talk will also be filmed and published on Dezeen at a later date.
